1. Dubrovnik Summer Festival
This is the biggest art festival in Croatia and it takes place for 47 days of the summer every year. This festival presents a rich programme of classical music, theatre, opera and dance on more than 70 open - air venues, including a traditional performance of Hamlet.
2. Libertas Film Festival
‘Libertas' is the motto of Dubrovnik, so it's appropriate that its film festival, reinforcing Dubrovnik's status as an independent entity, adopts the same one. It has attracted many famous stars in the past such as John Malkovich, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Kevin Spacey.
